Recalling the Galaxy Note 7 was a huge blow to not only Samsung, but the Korean economy as a whole. Thankfully, the phone and appliance retailer is back with the new version of the phone and we doubt they’ve made the same mistake twice.
The Galaxy Note 8 has many notable features that its predecessor lacked:
- The screen is now a whopping 6.3″, compared to 5.7″ on the Note 7. It seems small when written out but it becomes significant when held in the hand.
- The resolution has been bumped up, though the stock battery is missing out on 200 mAh from the Note 7.
- Internal storage is customizable up to 256 GB.
- The phone features dual cameras with an updated Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 for that extra processing power.
As with the Note 7, the Note 8 will also feature an iris scanner and fingerprint sensor.
The dual cameras will likely afford a wide array of new software for users to play with, though many of the basic features on the phone are expressly comparable to the Galaxy S8.
